    Academics 学术

    Literally the only downfall of umich academics is the workload, and occasionally you'll get a bad professor, but otherwise the faculty and courses offered are fantastic.

    There are tons of great classes and professors to choose from, and interesting things to learn. If a topic exists in academia, there's probably a class on it, so there are many unique and interesting classes. If you are an underclassman it can sometimes be difficult to get all the classes you want as many classes fill up very quickly, but getting a good schedule is not impossible. In terms of workload, if you want to do well, plan on spending on a significant amount of time on academics outside of class.

    Ann Arbor has been voted one of the best college towns in the whole US. The city is great. There is a myriad of places to eat, shop, or just hangout. You can always find the right place, no matter what you are looking for. It is a tad bit expensive for a lot of things, but not ridiculously. Overall, its an amazing place.

    I have lived here all my life and Ann Arbor is unlike any other place in the world. There is always something to do, such as Restaurant Week or there are new exhibits at the Art Museum to be seen. I think in terms of everything that is mentioned in the description of this question that Ann Arbor excels. There are lots of sports and gyms, many students work at the local businesses, there is a mall ten minutes away - it's wonderful!
