    Registration is easy even if you don't always end up in what you want. Be prepared to work your ass off.

    Academics are very rigorous and a lot is expected of the students.

    Every school has issues with professors that come solely for research, but are forced to teach on the side. Judging by average reviews on ratemyprofessor and other sites, though, Vandy is much less of a victim of this. Our teachers are overall better than pretty much every other school, and Vandy does truly have an undergrad focus. In my experience, my teachers have almost exclusively been great. The workload is difficult, and while it is relatively easy to have a GPA in the 3.3 range (except in a few engineering majors), it is difficult to get a very high GPA. The students at Vandy are as smart as anywhere. Vandy cares about demonstrated intelligence more than other top schools in admissions I'd say (other schools care a ton about uniqueness), and so students are pretty consistently smart across the board. Top students, top professors, lots of courses of study, truly cannot find better academics for general arts and sciences/HOD.

    The most beautiful campus. The trees are so pretty in the fall and spring, and sometimes I think about how thankful I am to be on this campus when just walking around its natural beauty combined with diverse architecture.

    Nashville is a perfect college town. Not too big, not too small. So many fun things to do, awesome food, and friendly people. It's great going to school in a city, but still having a very park-like, suburban campus.

    Campus is great. You often forget you're in the middle of city. Facilities are taken care of, and, overall, campus as a whole is stunning.
