    Academics 学术

    Some of the best academics that can be found. Most of the professors have such a genuine passion for what they teach. Don't get me wrong, it's extremely challenging. But, in the end, it's extremely worth it.

    Campus 校园

    Current construction notwithstanding, the campus is stunning. Several close friends selected this university over others simply because of its aesthetic appeal. Especially among this century's additions, new structures are painstakingly tailored to complement Duke's stylistic character (Neo-Gothic on West, Collegiate Georgian on East). Athletic facilities are worthy of the Blue Devils' distinguished reputations, and the library system ranks among the country's most comprehensive.

    尽管现在校园的部分地区正在处于维修的状态中，校园的美还是没有被蒙蔽的。我又很多朋友甚至仅仅是因为这里的校园很美而选择了这里。尤其是本世纪内的一些新建筑，更加造就了杜克校园独特的美感（西边的新式哥特风格，东边的学院派乔治亚风格）。这里的体育设备也都很完善，图书馆藏书丰富也是全国最高水平。

    Campus is beautiful - BUT THERE IS SO MUCH CONSTRUCTION RIGHT NOW. The main dining hall, the chapel, Wallace Wade, the Bryan Center, the plaza are all under construction or about to be under construction, which makes it a little limited. Cranes abound.

    这里的校园非常美，不过现在真的有太多维修在扰乱原本的风景了。主要的食堂，教堂，Wallace Wade体育场，学生中心，广场等等，不是在维修，就是要被维修了，这让校园变得很挤，到处都是塔吊。

    Durham isn't exactly known for its Town-Gown relations, but that's largely the students' fault in my opinion. Students who do go out into the community, either as consumers or for service, often find that it's a very enriching part of their Duke experience. Durham has such an interesting history that I find going to school here a big plus. I could see myself living in Durham for the rest of my life.

    Durham这座城市对于这里的学生来说没有特别大的魅力，不过我觉得之所以会变成这样也是怪学生。真正去城市的社区里体会过的人，无论是买东西还是找服务，都会发现进城也是挺有趣的体验。Durham的历史很有意思，我觉得在这里上学还是很有趣的，甚至毕业后也一直在这里生活。
