    Academics 学术

    Academics are pretty good at Brandeis. The work load is extremely challenging and there are no clear instructions regarding the scope of exam material at times. Classes with graduate students are really poor though. However, academics are not the only things that define a school. Brandeis lacks majorly in several other fields that are important in defining a college experience.

    Brandeis的学术真的很不错，不过工作量有的时候有点多，而且有时老师不会明确说明考试的深度。跟研究生共享的课程就比较一般了。不过学术也不是决定一个学校好坏的全部指标，Brandeis在其他方面的一些缺点更决定了在这里的大学体验。

    Fulfilling college requirements includes a lot of freedom, and most professors at Brandeis are continuing to do work in their field, making them very knowledgeable.

    Campus 校园

    Waltham is a very small suburb of Boston. I will repeat, a suburb of Boston. It is not Boston. The "13 miles" away from Boston may seem like nothing, but we are not allowed cars on campus freshman/sophomore year, so it's harder to get there than you probably think. Waltham itself is a fine town. We have fast food, pharmacies and various other stores. If you're looking for nightlife, museums/cultural attractions or shopping I would head into Boston though. The commuter rail runs fairly often and can get you into Boston. Once you're there you can take the T to anywhere you might want to go.

    Waltham是Boston市郊的一个小城镇，请注意，是市郊，并不属于Boston的范围。虽然只有13miles的距离看起来没有什么，但是大一大二不允许在校用车，所以想去一些地方有的时候也挺难的。不过Waltham本身还是一个不错的小城镇的，有快餐店，有药房，还有很多各种各样的商店。不过如果你想找夜生活的场所，或者名胜古迹，购物中心我觉得还是直接进城比较好。小火车转地铁的交通搭配可以让你轻松进城。

    Local area seems to be really scary at night times.

    Boston is nearby so that is nice, but Waltham itself is pretty small. There are some nice places to eat, for sure, but it isn't the most bustling place. Personally, I enjoy this though because you can go into the city when you want but if you want the quietness of Waltham that is available too.

    Boston近在咫尺这一点还是不错的，毕竟Waltham真的很小，虽然也有一些不错的餐厅，但是毕竟不如城里的。其实我个人还是很喜欢这一点的，想进城的时候就去，不想进城也能在Waltham找到更安静的选项。
